Commitment to Diversity

In upholding the tenets of the Scout Oath and Law, Challenger District dedicates itself to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity that helps make it a great place to for youth and leaders to grow and become valuable members of the communities they serve.

We do this by ensuring that all people involved in the Scouting program are treated with respect and understanding, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, religion, physical ability, or political belief.

Challenger District seeks to create a positive and welcoming environment toward those who have not yet experienced Scouting and whose backgrounds and experiences will enrich our movement and help us to serve more youth.

As a Unit within Challenger District we pledge to be respectful and foster inclusiveness for all scouts and scouters regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, religion, physical ability, or political belief.

As a scouter I pledge to be respectful and understanding of all others within the scouting program and to be inclusive in my interactions with others regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, religion, physical ability, or political belief.
